IPWEAQ has divided Queensland into four regions based around groupings of councils, and Branches have been developed within these regions.
Branches are important avenues for disseminating information to IPWEAQ members and for members to interact with and provide feed-back to the Institute. They are also important sources for establishing policy and sourcing information for advice to Government Departments and the community.
Branches hold a one day Conference usually twice a year to present papers, discuss a wide range of technical issues and provide an opportunity for members to interact with other people involved in public works within their region. Conferences often include a technical tour, special guest speaker and social activity.
