WAAMI and NAMS.PLUS

In Western Australia, there are two industry based programs to assist Local Governments improve their asset management:

  1. WAAMI; and 2. NAMS.PLUS.

WAAMI is the Western Australia Asset Management Improvement Program designed for WA Local Governments. NAMS.PLUS is an initiative of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (IPWEA).

It has been brought to our attention that there may be confusion within Local Government as to what both of these programs provide. WAAMI and NAMS.PLUS are in many ways complementary to each other. An Information Sheet has been prepared which describes the role and functionality provided by each of these programs (download here).
