NAMS.PLUS and NAMS.lite workshops
Visit:www.ipwea.org.au/NAMS2012
Member organisations can register participants for workshops which provide detailed and practical training with hands on components to develop “first cut” asset management plan.
Consultants
Consultants may participate in the NAMS.PLUS and NAMS.lite programs to assist subscribing organisations to write their plans. More details are available in the Consultants Participation Agreement. Download here
NAMS.AU has a Consultant Supporters group with specialist consultants, trained and experienced in providing assistance and mentoring for organisations. A list of these consultants may be seen (here)
NAMS.PLUS and WAAMI
In Western Australia there are two industry based programs to assist local government councils to improve their asset management.
- WAAMI is the Western Australia Asset Management Improvement Program designed for WA councils – helps councils to understand what they need to do to improve asset and financial management
- NAMS.PLUS is the initiative of the IPWEA – helps councils to write their own asset management plans
These are quite different programs but in many way complimentary to each other. For more detail download the Information Sheet to get a better idea about the role and functionality provided by each program (download here)
International Enquiries
NAMS.PLUS is available for international local government organisations. IPWEA delivers programs in association with other similar industry associations. Further enquiries contact Chris Champion cchampion@ipwea.org.au
It has been brought to our attention that there may be confusion within Local Government as to what both of these programs provide. WAAMI and NAMS.PLUS are in many ways complementary to each other. An Information Sheet has been prepared which describes the role and functionality provided by each of these programs (download here).
