The Albert Mainerd Scholarship is awarded annually and rotated among
five professional staff organisations in Local Government. For 2001, the
scholarship was awarded to a member of the Institute of Public Works
Engineering Australia.
The award is worth up to $9000 and aims to improve Local Government
in NSW by enabling senior staff of councils to study Local Government
overseas and/or within Australia.

2001 Albert Mainerd Scholarship Winner
Daryl McGregor of Albury City Council was presented of the Albert
Mainerd Scholarship at the Awards Presentation Dinner at the 2001 IPWEA
NSW Division Conference. Daryl conducted a study tour on water
conservation, salinity management and algae control in Israel.
