How do I apply for membership?
The NSW Division offers its members a wide range of benefits including:
• Access to relevant training workshops and conferences
• Eligibility for State and National Excellence Awards
• Best practice manuals to assist in the work place
• Field visits to study new methods employed by other municipal engineers and public works professionals
• Staff interchanges to broaden your skills and knowledge
• A network of associates with common goals and problems as well as the opportunity to socialise with your peers
• Mentoring opportunities
• Technical Panels that focus upon specific topics of interest
• Grants to assist overseas and interstate study
• Scholarships for Overseas Study Tours
• A national bi-monthly journal
• Expos and field days displaying the latest in public works technology and equipment
• Up to date news and information through the website and discussion forum
With the broadening of our focus to a range of public works and engineering activities the membership criteria is also changing. Criteria will no longer be based on engineering qualifications and the position held by the prospective member within council. Instead it is based on what people do in their jobs.
What is the cost of membership?
All membership fees are tax deductable and the subscription period is from the 1st July to the 30th June. Please note that applications for membership received after the 30th September of each year will be charged on a pro-rata basis.
