Overview
The Roads & Transport
Directorate was set up as a joint undertaking between the Local
Government Association of NSW, the Shires Association of NSW and IPWEA
(NSW). Funding for the Directorate is provided by annual contributions
from member Councils.
All Councils in NSW are
eligible to become members.
The Purpose of the Roads and
Transport Directorate is to assist Local Government in NSW to adopt and
maintain best practice in the planning, provision and maintenance of
local road infrastructure and transport related
activities.
